Have you heard? Atlanta bid for the fate of the expansion MLS team.?

Montreal and Atlanta are not looking for a team for 2011. Vancouver trying to negotiate the fee MLS expansion to 40 million. Vancouver is also having problems with their proposed stadium ... Are they the next city to take its bid for an MLS team? Which cities still in operation are likely to be selected for the year 2011? - St. Louis - Miami - Ottawa - Vancouver http://mlsrumors.net/

1) Miami is the favorite Barca through partnership and money, but I'm sure MLS is very uncertain about returning to Miami. What has really changed in Miami? Only two things have changed: 1) The proposed stadium is a little closer to downtown Miami and 2) relationship with FC Barcelona. The number one does not seem to be a difference maker. Number two is really difficult to predict. What If Barca do not like how MLS is run? Did they cut their losses and run? 2) I would love to see Vancouver get the bid. So beautiful city. Toronto FC was a huge success so I imagine a repeat of Vancouver. Canadians treat football as an event to attend (Like going to a Cubs game in Chicago), while the Americans have not reached that point where a mass number of spectators come for casual games to benefit the environment. The question of the stadium is a huge obstacle. 3) St. Louis is worthy, but I think their financial part of their offer is not as good (rich) than the other. MLS requires a stable owner so I'm not sure if the property proposed meet the requirements. 4) I rank Portland low due to Vancouver. I think Vancouver is more attractive, but Portland is right behind. They have an existing installation, but it is pretty close to Seattle ... Geographically, this could have benefits and risks. 5) of Ottawa was a belated attempt. MLS will choose one (or zero) of the Canadian team. Difficult see MLS picking Ottawa over Vancouver. It will be a tendering process very competitive ... I do not think MLS is growing for many years after that ... Cities will attract existing clubs after that.
