Anything, for example, Cheerios, fruit, etc. ..
Things Cheerios, fruit and vegetables are treats and supplements, and not to the nucleus of feeding your rat. For a base, if you do not use the blocks laboratory, try to rat / mouse mixes. This is not the best in the world, and need supplements, but are rounded food is basic at best, difficult to make on your own. Here is a site that explains the basic requirements for your rat http://www.rmca.org/Articles/homemadediet.htm When buying foods, check the fat content and protein. There are some foods to avoid, but this site has a good list of things you can and can not feed your rat http://exoticpets.about.com/od/careofrats/a/ratsfeeding.htm Last, but not least, if you decide to make your own food to feed your Rattie, visit this site: http://www.ratfanclub.org/diet.html Even if you are just looking for ideas to address and do not make your own arrangements, they are all large sites to have a good idea of what the power of your rat needs, where to get it, and what is a bad idea to give your pet.
