Bag Canopy

I just bought the Quinny Buzz 3 and have fitted together, I am curious what the closure flash inside the sun is covered for - does anyone know? Moreover, the basket of buzz that goes with it (not the shopping cart itself says) has a zip in the back with a bag sewn into it that pulls out - what's that for? Just want to satisfy my curiosity! Thank you!
The zipper at the bottom of the canopy is attached to the rear seat and the bag is tied, it goes on the bag when it rains
