Suggestions on recycling and tree planting and other plants are good ones. Also consider your consumption of energy and how you can reduce it - just remember to turn off the lights when you leave a room, your mode of transport. Do not drive when you can walk, cycle or take the bus. When you drive in any Clearly a vehicle with gas mileage good - or better yet, a hybrid car, biofueled or electric - is more gentle on the land a monster SUV. Think also about the chemicals you use and where you can substitute less toxic substances, since everything eventually ends in the environment in some form. When you garden, choose organic products instead of toxic chemicals, and when you clean your house, try to use things like vinegar and baking soda instead of household cleaners. The main thing is to stop and think about what you do and see if you make the best choices for the love of Mother Earth. If everyone does a little better, the cumulative effect will be noticeable.
