Teds Doubles Kit

We have a little girl whi will be two in September and are due another little girl in just 3 weeks time. We have bought the Phil and Teds Sport with doubles kit. I know the newborn will go in the main body of the pram led flat and our oldest will be in the doubles kit above, but how can I make it comfortable for the newborn? We know we can get a cocoon, but we're trying no to as it seems a bit pointless seeing as it is the middle of summer when we will be using it and they say it only lasts for approx 4 months. I have also seen a buggy liner onlie, is this any good? Does anybody have experience with these prams that might have a suggestion? Thanks x
I am not familiar with that particular stroller, but we have a single baby jogger and a double chariot. My girls are 27 months apart. We have used the double chariot with them both maybe twice. But we used it alot for my newborn last summer (she was born last June) because she could lie flat in it and the baby jogger isn't suitable until about 4 months. We had the cocoon for it that we borrowed from a friend, but if you plan on running with it frequently, I would invest in it.
