Travel Bag

I travel about 1.5 months from Mexico, then Australia and finally Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with extended trip could tell me if I could use a big cargo style bag or a / Kelty North Face backpack style would do great. I will not do anything majorly stressful, but there will be camping at stake and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thank you.
Having traveled twice around Europe with the same backpack is definitely the way forward (hands free, weight distributed on the shoulders, waist). As you go only for 1.5 months, you have more than enough room for all your data. Pack it and then take half of your clothes - you will not need it!
