Tri Mode Single

Ok hi ! I have been asking several question regarding the build i have just given the ok for! The dilema i keep commin accross was people kept telling me the i7 can only use tri channel memory. Ok so i was gonna use that, then i seen the price lol!! So i done a little more digging and found out that with the right mobo you can use 4GB DDR3 Ram in dual channel mode! I also confirmed this with 2 pc builders who both said it was possible and that the speeds are almost identical anyway! So here is an independant test link that show an i7 used in single vs dual vs tri mode.

So once again just looking for some backing with people who know more than me to tell me i have done the right thing??????
Plus having got 4gb i can always add 2gb and then switch to tri channel mode then later though lol

Yeah, its possible, but you won't get the full bonus performance of the i7 system.
